Not enough England players are putting their country first, according to Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce.
One of the most fiercely patriotic men to don the Three Lions jersey, Pearce vented his frustration at David Bentley´s decision to withdraw from the squad for this summer´s European Championships.
"For me, representing your country is not about what suits you, it´s about what suits your country, whether it be on the sporting field, whether it be in the armed forces," said Pearce. "When your country comes calling, you put them first and yourself second."
