Published Add your comment

Colchester striker Jamie Cureton has submitted a transfer request to the Coca-Cola Championship club.

The 31-year-old joined the Us from Swindon last summer after spending a loan spell with the Layer Road club during the 2005-06 season.

The former QPR, Reading and Bristol Rovers player had a highly-successful campaign, scoring 23 league goals as Colchester exceeded expectations to finish in 10th after challenging for the play-offs.
