Watford have completed the signing of winger Jobi McAnuff from Coca-Cola Championship rivals Crystal Palace in a deal worth up to £2million.

The 25-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Hornets, who have paid Palace an initial £1.75m, rising if the Hornets are promoted.

Watford manager Adrian Boothroyd tried to sign McAnuff last summer to strengthen his squad for their Barclays Premiership campaign, but Palace would not allow the former Cardiff player to leave.
