Tito Vilanova is set to return to work as Barcelona boss by the middle of January, according to club president Sandro Rosell. Vilanova underwent surgery on December 20 after suffering a recurrence of cancer in his saliva glands. [Guardian]

Harry Redknapp has quashed reports linking Queens Park Rangers with a move for Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard. Redknapp is expected to make signings next month, but has admitted it will be difficult to convince players to join a club in the bottom three of the Premier League. [Goal.com]
