Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie is interesting Premiership newcomers Derby.

Hendrie is leaving Villa after 13 years and is already in demand from Stoke, Leicester and Coventry but the 30-year-old would like to continue playing top-flight football.

He said: "My dad (Paul Hendrie) has always played a big role with my contracts and it will be the same again. He spoke to Derby last Sunday and thinks there might be something there for me. Derby didn´t want to make any decisions until after the play-off final. They have gone up to the Premiership so that would be a good option."
