Hossam Ghaly is confident of remaining at Tottenham following a meeting with boss Martin Jol.

The midfielder´s future appeared uncertain after he threw his shirt to the floor in the penultimate game of the season, against Blackburn, when he was substituted 31 minutes after coming off the bench.

But the 25-year-old Egypt international said in the London Evening Standard: "I met with Jol before I left for my summer vacation and he assured me that there are no hard feelings and that he is keen on keeping me next season."
