Magilton out of Northern Ireland running

Published Add your comment

Ipswich boss Jim Magilton has ruled himself out of the running for the vacant Northern Ireland manager´s job.

Belfast-born Magilton, capped 52 times for his country, has been linked as a potential replacement for Lawrie Sanchez, who resigned to take over at Fulham earlier this month.

But Magilton told the club´s official website: "I won´t be in the running for the job, full or part-time. I have a job to do at Ipswich and it´s one I´m 100% focused on. Getting this club back into the Premiership is a big enough challenge for me."
