Blackpool claim play-off final spot

Blackpool´s march towards the Coca-Cola Championship gathered momentum at Bloomfield Road where Oldham were clinically despatched 3-1 in the second leg of their play-off semi-final and 5-2 on aggregate.

Blackpool midfielder Keith Southern unleashed an unstoppable 25-yard shot into the far corner in the 28th minute to give Blackpool a 3-1 aggregate lead.

Andrew Morrell then beat Oldham goalkeeper Alan Blayney in a one-on-one in the second half to put the tie beyond the visitors, before Oldham substitute Matt Wolfenden fired in off the crossbar in the closing stages to make it 4-2 on aggregate.
