Everton boss David Moyes has confirmed Manchester United target Leighton Baines and Chelsea transfer target Marouane Fellaini are not for sale in January, according to Goal.com.

Baines and Fellaini have been two of Everton’s best players for the past two seasons, and both have been linked with moves away from Goodison Park. The Daily Mail claimed earlier this week that Manchester United are lining up a £15m move for Baines, while the London Evening Standard claims Fellaini is on Chelsea's transfer wishlist.

But Moyes, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, remained adamant that neither player would be sold when the transfer window opens next week.

Moyes said: “Last year, we sold [Diniyar] Bilyaletdinov for £5.5m back to Russia and that gave us the opportunity to go and buy.

“We brought in Steven Pienaar on loan from Spurs, we bought [Nikica] Jelavic from Rangers for £5m and Darron Gibson from Manchester United for £500,000. We spent the money we got in. That is the way we have tended to work.

“My intention is not to sell anyone this January.”

Baines, an England international, has also been linked with Chelsea as a long-term replacement for the 32-year-old Ashley Cole by national newspaper The Independent, but Moyes is hopeful Everton can keep hold of the player they signed from Wigan.

As for Fellaini, the tall Belgian was a £15m purchase from Standard Liege in 2008, and after an initially difficult start to life in the Premier League, the tall midfielder has flourished, and is currently enjoying one of his best ever goalscoring seasons at Goodison Park.

Fellaini has been linked with Chelsea, according to the London Evening Standard, as the Stamford Bridge side were thought to be considering strengthening their squad in the central midfield area, but it now seems Everton expect a quiet transfer window, and will not entertain offers for any of their players.
