Veteran Everton defender Alan Stubbs has signed a one-year contract extension at Goodison Park.

The 35-year-old admitted the decision to stay at the club had been easy.

He told evertonTV: "It was pretty straightforward to be honest. It is not as if I´m 21 and it was going to get complicated, I am happy to be signing and proud I´m still able to play at the top of the Premiership at 35. It is a nice moment for me."
