Dundee United striker Michael Gardyne has produced one of the misses of 2012 just two days before the end of the year.
The 26-year-old was introduced as a first-half substitute in the 4-3 home defeat to St Mirren, and couldn't prevent his side from suffering a disappointing defeat at Tannadice.
He did have the chance mind you, when a through-ball that looked more like a shot found its way to the feet of the former Ross County star.
A brilliant first touch left Gardyne 12-yards out and one-on-one with the goalkeeper - a perfect opportunity to grab a goal for the Tangerines.
However, the forward blazed high into the Scottish sky, clearing the stand behind the goal for good measure with one of the worst misses of the SPL campaign.
And, whilst it wasn't the easiest chance we've seen all year, it's certainly one of the worst shots. Did the ball take a bobble? We're not sure at GiveMeFootball Towers.
Have a watch of the miss yourself, and decide if it's the worst you've seen in 2012. It will certainly give you a laugh - although not if you're the man himself.
Sorry Mr Gardyne…
