Video: ‘Hooligan’ Pique shows passion during Barcelona-Real Madrid basketball match

Published 10 Comments

Spanish paper Marca has branded Gerard Pique a ‘hooligan’ after wild scenes of celebration during an El Clasico basketball match on Sunday night.

The Madrid-based publication wasted no time in laying into the Barcelona defender, who was in the crowd to support his side against league-leaders Real Madrid.

Support from the Spain international centre back certainly seemed to help, as Juan Carlos Navarro scored 33 points in a shock 96-89 victory.

The victory also ended a 14-game winning streak for Real Madrid – meaning the club from the capital fell one short of the all-time Spanish record for wins at the start of the season.

It was the antics of Pique which stole the show for football fans however, and Marca of course, and the former Manchester United star showed that he’s a better player than a watcher when it comes to sport.

Check out the video below, and leave us your thoughts on his antics. Which football player do you think would be the worst at watching?
