Falcao makes 'some kind of deal' with Real Madrid
Radamel Falcao signed some kind of agreement with Real Madrid, says Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo
Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo believes that Radamel Falcao has struck some kind of deal with Real Madrid over a future transfer, reports AS.
According to the Spanish publication, Cerezo revealed on television programme 'Punto Pelota', during Los Rojiblancos recent home game against Celta Vigo, that the Colombian striker has already held negotiations regarding his future away from the Vicente Calderon Stadium.
"Falcao signed some kind of agreement with Real Madrid a while ago," answered the Atletico president, in response to questions about the 26-year-old, who also held talks with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez during an award ceremony last month.
"I'll pass you over the serviette later," Perez joked, fuelling more rumours about the player's imminent departure, following an action that is referred to as a 'Palace Agreement' in Spain.
Only last week, the South American striker talked about how happy he is playing for Atletico, but did insinuate that a transfer to another club could be on the horizon next summer.
The La Liga outfit's Managing Director, Miguel Angel Gil Marin, reiterated that the club would do everything in their power to keep hold of Falcao, who is one of the hottest properties in world football at the moment, thanks to his prolific form, but added that they wouldn't stand in his way if he asked to move at the end of the season.
"Falcao has earned the right to decide his future," he said.
