It's not often that Peruvian football hits the headlines but today marks the exception that proves the rule.
This little gem has surfaced on the internet and it stars Angelo Campos, playing for the Peruvian U-20 side against their Uruguayan equivalents.
Campos launches himself out of goal to thwart a Uruguayan counter-attack lead by striker Gonzalo Bueno but is left high and dry as his opponent takes the ball around him.
With only a defender on his case and an open goal in front of him it seems certain that Bueno will score, even though his shot is weak.
Then comes the heroics. Campos scampers back towards his own goal and claws the ball off the line only to be confronted by the fact that all his efforts so far look bound to end in conceding anyway.
However all is not lost. Campos scrambles back to his feet to deny Bueno for a second time, pulling off what must be one of the most remarkable double saves in living memory. Think we've over-egged it a little bit? Watch it here and decide for yourself.
Experienced GMF reders may remember that it wasn't so long ago that we put forward another candidate for one of the best saves we'd seen in a long time - watch that video here and let us know which one you think is better.
