Wenger: We are in a vital period
Arsene Wenger has outlined Arsenal's run of fixtures against some of the Premier League's most prominent clubs as key to the Gunners' ambitions this season.
Arsenal have the task of completing six fixtures in 18 days, starting with a meeting with Manchester City on Sunday, while encounters with Chelsea and Liverpool also await.
The Gunners are unbeaten in their last five Premier League matches, and Wenger senses his side can be at their most dangerous when they face teams with similar hopes to their own.
"We know this a vital period for us," Wenger told his Friday press conference. "We are on a positive run. We still lack a bit of confidence in some situations and I feel our team will be very dangerous if we have full confidence.
"We are not far from it but we need another positive result in a big game to be completely confident and believe in our ability to come back."
