Emmanuel Adebayor set to return to Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur news: Emmanuel Adebayor has fallen out with Togo again
Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas may yet be able to call upon striker Emmanuel Adebayor for the whole of January, as the Togolese international is set to make another U-turn.
According to the Daily Mail, the former Arsenal and Manchester City striker has fallen out with the Togo FA again and is on the verge of heading back to England.
Adebayor only this week went back on a decision to retire from international football following a previous row over bonus payments and security issues, with him expected to turn out for his nation at the Africa Cup of Nations.
His participation in South Africa had left Villas-Boas with only Jermain Defoe as a senior striker, but this may no longer be a problem.
The report says the reasons behind Adebayor’s latest dispute with the Togo FA are unclear but that he is set to leave the squad’s camp and return it White Hart Lane.
It also claims the row could scupper Togo’s plans as the unrest has spread to the rest of the squad.
