Liverpool willing to listen to £40m offers for star striker
Liverpool transfer news: FSG prepared to sell Luis Suarez
Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is reportedly considering his future at Anfield, while Reds owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) are willing to listen to offers of £40 million for the Uruguay international.
According to Goal.com, Suarez is ready to leave Liverpool during the summer transfer window, with Manchester City one of the most prominent clubs interested in securing his signature.
Suarez only signed a long-term Liverpool contact last year, but FSG would reportedly consider parting ways with the 25-year-old if their valuation was met.
The former Ajax striker, who moved to Liverpool from Amsterdam in the January transfer window of 2011, has been at the centre of a number of controversies during his spell in England - most notable of which was his eight-match ban last season.
Suarez was suspended after being found guilty of using racially insulting language towards Manchester United defender Patrice, and further damaged his reputation by rejecting the Frenchman's handshake when the two sides next met.
There is also a sense, meanwhile, that Suarez is unfairly treated by referees in the Premier League, which may mean the Liverpool star would favour a transfer abroad rather than to Manchester City.
