Manchester United striker target Robert Lewandowski could join Juventus, according to the player’s agent.

Cezary Kucharski admitted that ‘anything is possible’ when questioned on the future of the Borussia Dortmund striker, who was heavily linked with a move to the Red Devils prior to the opening of the January transfer window.

"Could Robert could sign for Juventus? Anything is possible. But I don't want to say anything at this time," said the agent, according to Sky Sports.

Sir Alex Ferguson recently dismissed talk of the 24-year-old joining Manchester United in the immediate future as ‘nonsense’, according to Sky Sports, but the former Lech Poznan star has been mooted as a potential summer addition at Old Trafford in certain quarters.

Indeed, The Daily Mail claimed at the end of December that Ferguson was ‘closing in’ on an £18 million move for Lewandowski, in a switch that could pose questions over the future of Wayne Rooney.

The England international is sure to still be in the plans of his Scottish manager, but Robin Van Persie is now the main man for Manchester United, scoring 21 goals in all competitions so far for the club.

Lewandowski, who has 10 league goals this season for Dortmund, would add another attacking dimension to the Red Devils, but pose a serious selection headache for the manager with Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck also vying for starts.

How the Polish international would fit in is up for debate, but Manchester United may not get the chance to find out at the end of the season if the Serie 'A' giants pounce later this month.
