Bayern Munich have reportedly made the first formal approach for Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United target Pep Guardiola.
The former Barcelona boss has outlined his intention to return to management next season, and has been heavily linked with a move to either Chelsea, Manchester City or Manchester United.
However, according to talkSPORT, Bayern Munich figures have held talks with Guardiola's representative Josep Maria in the German city with the hope of appointing the 41-year-old in the summer.
Current Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes is out of contract at the end of the season and, although the Bavarian giants are on course to win the Bundesliga, the prospect of signing Guardiola would seemingly prove too good to resist.
The Sun, meanwhile, reports that Manchester City will beat Bayern, Chelsea and Manchester United to Guardiola, as the ex-Barcelona star is convinced the Premier League champions can reach the heights of his former club.
Guardiola has been touted as a potential replacement for Sir Alex Ferguson, although the Manchester United boss is likely to hold on at Old Trafford for too long, while he is a long-term favourite of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
