It is no secret Tottenham Hotspur rely heavily on their star left-winger, Gareth Bale.
Time and time again Bale impresses fans of the Premier League, with his lightning quick feet, powerful running, and crossing ability. He also has an eye for goal with nine goals in 19 appearances this season.
Bale, like all players, has games were he is phenomenal and others when he isn't at his best. But, when Bale doesn't play well, Tottenham seem to lack the spark that helps them win most of their games. So a question arises, can Spurs survive without Gareth Bale?
With rumours surfacing of Bale possibly moving to Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid, Tottenham fans are left wondering how the team would fair without the teams dominant presence in attack.
With Bale out of the picture Spurs are still a strong team on paper; with the likes of Clint Dempsey, Aaron Lennon, Jermaine Defoe, Kyle Walker, and Hugo Lloris in their ranks, but the Welshman is clearly the heart and soul of the team.
Although Bale is often criticised for diving, most recently against Sunderland, don't let that fool you. He is arguably the best player in the Premier League, and one of the greatest in the world.
If Bale is to leave Tottenham any time soon, it will be interesting to see how the team carries on without him, and perhaps more importantly, how they would go about replacing the Welsh wizard.
