Arsenal v Swansea City;
FA Cup Third Round replay, Emirates Stadium;
Wednesday, 16th January 2013; 19:30 KO.

Team News:

Arsene Wenger is without defender Laurent Koscielny, who is suspended for tonight's Cup replay. Arsenal are also without midfielder Mikel Arteta, who has a calf problem, but About Diaby could feature after his return to action against Manchester City on Sunday.

Swansea manager Michael Laudrup has a fully-fit squad to choose from, but will have to do without loan signing Roland Lamah, who was not registered in time for the previous tie.

Szczesny looks for first cup with Arsenal

After seven years without a trophy, Arsenal desperately need to win something to quell fan unrest and a worrying lack of self-confidence.

Wojciech Szczesny believes the FA Cup is the perfect place to start, and knows victory against Swansea City would certainly go down well with supporters.

Talking to the club's official website, the Polish goalkeeper said: "I hope we can qualify for the next round because we realise the FA Cup could be a massive chance to win a trophy this season.

"We need a trophy for everyone to start believing that this club and this team are good enough to win trophies again."

If Arsenal are to progress to the next stage, they will have to watch out for Swansea City's prolific striker, Michu. The Spaniard has already scored three goals against the Gunners this season in their previous encounters, and will be looking to add to that tally this evening.

Michu is a threat that Szczesny is well aware of, with the 26-year-old earning rave reviews during his debut season in the Premier League.

"He is as good as they get in the Premier League. I think he has scored 15 or 16 goals and we are only in January, so I have been very impressed with him," Szczesny added.

The match-up between the goalkeeper and striker is sure to be one of the key battles in tonight's match, and whoever comes out on top may well book their side's place in the next round of the competition.
