Keane extends stay in LA

The Los Angeles Galaxy have confirmed Robbie Keane has signed a "multi-year contract extension" with the Major League Soccer club.

The 32-year-old Republic of Ireland captain moved to the United States from Tottenham in August 2011 and has since helped the Galaxy win consecutive MLS Cup titles.

A statement on www.lagalaxy.com read: "The LA Galaxy announced today that the club has agreed to a multi-year contract extension with forward Robbie Keane."
