Real Madrid midfielder Kaka is reportedly "unhappy" at the club and is believed to be looking to leave in the January transfer window.

The Brazilian playmaker has been on the fringe of the Real Madrid first-team for some time now, and he revealed he is desperate to call time on his spell in the Spanish capital after a disappointing few seasons.

Kaka left AC Milan to join Real Madrid and after having dinner with Milan forward Robinho, Kaka revealed he would welcome a move back to the San Siro.

The 30-year-old midfielder told Sky Sport 24: "My situation at Real Madrid is an unhappy one - for me and for others."

When asked if he would accept a reduction in wages to return to the San Siro outfit, he responded: "I have already said I'm open to find a solution. In Milan, I had many beautiful moments and still have friends here.

"I [have] already said I'm open to find a solution with Real, and if it's good for me it's good for everyone."

Just earlier this week however, the club's vice-president Adriano Galliani told the media that a move for Kaka was unlikely due to wage demands.

If Kaka wants to leave Spain, then perhaps Premier League suitors may sit up and take notice of his availability? The Brazilian would fit in perfectly at Liverpool or Arsenal, and both clubs have the funds required to make a move for Kaka a reality.

Is Kaka the big transfer story of this window? Time will tell.
