Former-Manchester United starlet Paul Pogba was the one that got away for Sir Alex Ferguson – and the Frenchman showed the United boss just what he’s missing with an incredible 35-yard half-volley for Juventus this weekend.

The 19-year-old midfielder left Old Trafford on a free transfer last summer. Despite a handful of first-team appearances, and rave reviews in the youth and reserve ranks, the teenager’s attitude rankled, and Pogba was allowed to move on.

Juventus took the opportunity to sign one of Europe’s most promising box-to-box midfielders, and on Saturday Pogba showed just what he’s capable of with a stunning long-range effort for the defending Serie ‘A’ champions.

Fully 35 yards from goal, the France youth international recovers the bouncing ball, takes one touch, before hammering an unstoppable right-foot rocket into the top corner.

Juventus went on to win the match 4-0 against Udinese, Pogba finding the net for a second time in the second half, before goals from Marko Vucinic and Alessandro Matri wrapped up the three points.

Anyway, Pogba’s goal was the pick of the bunch. Watch it below...
