Arsenal target meets Manchester United boss after £15m fee agreed

Published 58 Comments

Manchester United have reportedly agreed a fee for Arsenal target Wilfried Zaha, and the Crystal Palace winger met with Sir Alex Ferguson on Sunday night to discuss his proposed transfer to Old Trafford.

According to The Mirror, Crystal Palace have accepted a package worth a total of £15 million, with an initial payment of £10 million guaranteed for the Championship club.

The rest of the fee will be made up of payments based on future appearances and achievements during his time as a Manchester United player, with Palace chairman Steve Parish battling to get a deal to his satisfaction.

The 20-year-old is reported to visited the Manchester United team hotel to speak with Ferguson following the Red Devils' draw with Tottenham at White Hart Lane and will stand to earn ten times his Palace salary at Old Trafford.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed last week that he was interested in bringing Zaha to the Emirates Stadium, but the self-confessed Gunners fan looks to be on his way to Manchester United instead.

The last detail of the deal remaining to be decided is reportedly if Manchester United would be willing to send Zaha back to Selhurst Park on loan for the remainder of the season.
