Jose Mourinho makes regular Chelsea contact
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich wants to bring Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho back to Stamford Bridge
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has been paving the way for a sensational return to Stamford Bridge by regularly texting and phoning Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
According to the Daily Star the Portuguese tactician has been used as an 'unofficial consultant' by the Russian billionaire, when it comes to footballing matters during the Blues' troubled season.
Abramovich sacked Roberto Di Matteo back in November after a poor run of Chelsea results, and brought in Rafa Benitez on an interim basis until the end of 2012/13.
The 49-year-old has also been messaging players from his time at Stamford Bridge, including John Terry, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and Petr Cech, which is the strongest indication yet that Mourinho will be back in west London this summer, at the club he left 'by mutual consent' in 2007.
Mourinho has made no secret of his desire to one day return to the Premier League, and as his frosty relationship with Real Madrid's staff and players continues to escalate, it looks increasingly likely he will leave the Santiago Bernabeu in May.
The politics, egos, and in-house fighting is proving to be too much for Mourinho in the Spanish capital, and after settling his differences and repairing his relationship with Abramovich, he's ready to return to Chelsea.
