Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster has backed Watford to make an instant return to the Barclays Premiership if they are relegated this season.

Watford, where Foster has been playing on loan for the past two seasons, look virtually certain to drop into the Coca-Cola Championship, as they are 11 points adrift of safety with eight league matches remaining.

"If we go down this season, the club looks in good shape to bounce straight back next year," Foster told PA Sport.
