Radamel Falcao rejects Real Madrid rumours

Chelsea transfer target Radamel Falcao has rejected reports that he is angling for a move to Real Madrid, according to talkSPORT.

The Atletico Madrid striker has been linked with a move away from the Vicente Calderon for much of the season, with Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City reportedly interested in signing the striker.

Reports in Spain had suggested Falcao's preferred destination is Real Madrid, after the Colombian international was reportedly spotted eating at a resturant with Bernabeu chief Florentino Perez.

Rumours also claimed Falcao had travelled to the Ballon d'Or Gala with Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo earlier this month.

But the Atletico Madrid frontman has poured cold water on the reports, insisting there is no truth in the rumours.

"Everthing is a lie," Falcao told Spanish newspaper AS. "Lately there has been all kinds of news about me. That I ate with Florentino is false. Nor is it true that I travelled with Cristiano to the Golden Ball gala."

Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid have all been strongly rumoured to be keen on the striker - who has hit 18 goals in as many league matches for second-placed Atletico this season.

And Falcao has teased his prospective suitors, revealing that he's been learning a number of different languages.

"I know a little Portuguese, English is important for life and so I speak it a little better now. Then I would like to learn French or Italian."

The 26-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the world - only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have scored more goals than the Colombian in La Liga over the past 12 months.
