Manchester United have their balls stolen

Published 10 Comments

Manchester United have opened an investigation after a theft at their Carrington training ground of equipment worth over £3000.

According to a report, the Old Trafford club are trying to get to the bottom of the incident, which is believed to have happened before the players went out to train.

It claims United believe thieves snuck into the complex and made off with a set of footballs that had been laid out for Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and their teammates to practice with.

It also says there has been no complaint filed by Manchester United to Police and they are keeping the investigation internal for the time being.

It is not the first time a Premier League club have been hit by a security breach at their training ground.

In September of last year Chelsea stars had phones, wallets and watches stolen when thieves broke into their training base at Cobham and stole the items from an academy dressing room.
