Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will be able to land young England goalkeeper Jack Butland at a knockdown price after his club’s financial plight have forced them to offload him.

According to the Daily Mirror, Birmingham City are so desperate for money they are willing to cut his asking price from £6million to just £3.5million in the hope it will entice bids from Premier League clubs with reported interest – including Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs.

Brendan Rodgers is having to deal with a lot of speculation over the future of current Anfield number one Pepe Reina, with Barcelona reportedly keen on replacing the outgoing Victor Valdes with him.

The Gunners have few reliable options behind current number one Wojciech Szczesny, as both Vito Mannone and Lukasz Fabianski have failed to convince when given opportunities to shine.

Tottenham may be less inclined to make a bid as they have Hugo Lloris as their number one and Brad Friedel in reserve, although the American is 41 years old now and 19-year-old Butland could be seen as a viable long-term replacement for both.

Butland had a stand out 2012 as it encompassed him being given the number one spot for Great Britain’s Mens football team at the London 2012 Olympics and earning his first senior international cap for England.
