Chesterfield chief executive Chris Turner says the club are willing to listen to offers from Liverpool and Everton for midfield sensation Tendayi Darikwa, reports talkSPORT.

The 21-year-old winger has been earning rave reviews at the Proact Stadium this season, following a series of scintillating performances, which helped him scoop the League Two Player of the Month award for December.

Brendan Rodgers has been credited with an interest in Darikwa - who is rated at around £2million - but the Liverpool manager's attempts to lure him to Anfield could face opposition from a number of rival Premier League clubs, including Merseyside rivals Everton.

"Tendayi is a fantastic talent and we would never stand in the way of a player from moving to a Premier League club," Turner said.

"A lot of top clubs have been tracking him for quite a while and it is no surprise - Tendayi is a player with exceptional potential who deserves to play at the very top."

With numerous scouts already sent to watch Darikwa in action for The Spireites, Turner took the opportunity to praise the set-up at the fourth-tier club, praising the platform provided for young players to develop their game.

"We had this situation with Jordan Bowery in the summer when he moved to Aston Villa - Chesterfield is a great place for young players to improve and show people what they can do.

"If a bid were to come [for Darikwa] we would of course sit down and discuss it."

Darikwa penned a new three-year contract in November, putting Chesterfield in a strong position when it comes to negotiating a fee with Liverpool, Everton, or any other club that wants to sign the player this month, or at the end of the season.
