As Chelsea prepare to face League One outfit Brentford in the FA Cup on Sunday, Ashley Cole is well aware the Blues cannot afford to be complacent going into the game.

Speaking to the club's official website, Cole said: "They are going to be really up for it.

"They will put some tackles in and we know it is going to be a tough game, but if we can dominate with some of the great players we have then hopefully we are going to win the game."

The England international left-back is hungry for further success with Chelsea, and that everyone at the club is determined to win every game, irrespective of the opponents.

"It is all big games now and this is what we are here for, to win trophies. If we can win every game this season, which is not impossible, we know at the end of the season we are going to be rewarded."

In 22 FA Cup games for Chelsea, Cole has never been on the losing side during open play, having tasted defeat on penalties against Everton last year. But Cole, 31, pays little attention to the record, instead focussing on how many trophies he has in his cabinet back home.

"I have not really thought about how many games I have won, but of course you think about how many trophies you have won, and when you go to the final it is a great day out.

"But it is not just me, Chelsea as a club seems to enjoy the FA Cup as well, we always seem to do well in the competition but Brentford on Sunday is a tricky game."

After signing a new one-year contract extension, the former Arsenal full-back will be hoping to add to his trophy haul before the end of his career.
