Celta Vigo star Iago Aspas has played down speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League, insisting he's happy in La Liga, according to talkSPORT.
Aspas progressed into the Celta Vigo first-team in 2008, and has gone on to score 42 goals in 122 La Liga appearances for the club.
Recent reports had suggested he would be willing to move this month, but the striker has moved quickly to quash such speculation.
"I said 15 days ago that I would not leave and my mind has not changed," Aspas said. "I want the best for this season, both for the club and for me. I am very happy here."
The report claims several Premier League clubs have scouted the forward, with Chelsea reportedly the most eager to bring him to England.
This season is Aspas's first in the Spanish top flight, and he's adapted well - scoring eight goals in his first 18 league appearances - and earning comparisons with Spain's record international goalscorer David Villa.
Last term was his best-ever in terms of goalscoring - he bagged 23 in 35 matches in the Segunda division - and it's worth noting that he never really had a great record before the 2011-12 campaign. His previous best tally was six goals in a single season.
