Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert insists he was not brought up to shirk a challenge as he looks to address the club's recent slide.

Lambert's side lost 2-1 at Millwall in the FA Cup fourth round on Fridayt following the Capital One Cup exit to Bradford earlier in the week. Villa are also struggling in the Barclays Premier League and currently sit 17th in the table but 43-year-old Lambert is determined to turn things around.

"There are two ways to deal with it," he said. "You either accept it or come out fighting, and I will keep fighting because I'm not brought up (to accept it)."
