No approach for Samuel - O´Neill

Published Add your comment

Aston Villa manager Martin O´Neill insists he has had no contact with Bolton about defender Jlloyd Samuel - and hinted he may offer the former England Under-21 player a new deal.

Bolton boss Sam Allardyce has confirmed his interest in signing Samuel, who is out of contract in the summer.

But O´Neill told PA Sport: "No-one from Bolton has spoken to me about Jlloyd. His contract is up in the summer and in May he will be free to speak to people. Will I offer him a new deal? I will sit down and speak to Jlloyd first of all."
