Pep Guardiola will be given a transfer budget of £238million when he takes over at Bayern Munich in the summer and has identified Liverpool’s Luis Suarez and Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao as his top target, according to The Independent.
The former Barcelona boss ended months of speculation earlier a few days ago when it was confirmed he would be taking over at the German club following a year-long hiatus in New York.
Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers is unlikely to be happy to hear about the interest of Bayern, as Suarez is having a terrific season for the Merseysiders.
Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for Falcao over the past few months but the interest of Guardiola could well threaten any aspirations of signing the Colombia international, such is his reputation.
Falcao and Suarez are both scoring at a good rate this season, with the Liverpool striker having found the net 21 times, while the former Porto man has gone one better on 22 goals.
