Video: Valencia II defender makes ‘overhead’ goalline clearance before red card

Whilst we wouldn’t normally write about Segunda B – Group 3 matches here at GiveMeFootball, an incident in the match between Valencia II and L’Hospitalet has certainly caught our eye.

It comes from Spanish defender Tano, with the 22-year-old defender making an incredible overhead kick clearance to stop L’Hospitalet from scoring at the Ciudad Deportiva del VCF de Paterna.

His moment of brilliance was unfortunately in vain however, with the Los Che second string eventually falling to a 2-0 defeat.

And, in a cruel twist for Tano, things got even worse on 71 minutes, with the player receiving his marching orders for a second yellow card in seven minutes.
