Arsenal & Tottenham Hotspur forced to wait for £8m Bundesliga hitman
Arsenal & Tottenham Hotspur transfer news: Heung-Min Son set to stay at Hamburg
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are set to miss out on Hamburg striker Heung-Min Son.
The Times claims both north London clubs are keen on the South Korean forward, but will have to wait until the summer before making their move for the 20-year-old.
Reports in Metro earlier this month claimed Spurs were ready to make an £8million bid for the player, with Andre Villas-Boas looking to bolster his attacking line at White Hart Lane.
Jermain Defoe is the only senior striker available to the Tottenham Hotspur boss at the present time, with Clint Dempsey operating as a make-shift forward in the absence of Emmanuel Adebayor during the African Cup of Nations.
Leandro Damiao has also been linked with a move to Spurs, and it now appears that the club have more chance of landing the Brazilian than the former Dongbuk High School starlet.
Arsenal, meanwhile, were first linked with a move for the player back in November, although manager Arsene Wenger was warned off a move at the time.
The Gunners are another side light of options in attack, with Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott the only options available through the middle at the Emirates Stadium.
David Villa has also been placed on the Arsenal radar in recent weeks, but Wenger played down the chance of his Premier League arrival, and it appears Son will go the same way in the final 48 hours of the window.
