Hodgson hails 'good pro' Cole

Roy Hodgson is happy to count Ashley Cole among England's good guys.

The Chelsea left-back will become the seventh player to win 100 caps on Wednesday when he turns out against Brazil at Wembley.

Cole divides opinion among football fans and his achievement is likely to get a cool reception from some, but Hodgson is not interested in such matters and said: "Reaching 100 matches is an incredible milestone. He deserves an enormous pat on the back. He has been a pleasure to work with and a really good professional."
