After coming on for the last 25 minutes against West Bromwich Albion, Darron Gibson will be hoping for his first start since returning from a thigh injury.
Nikica Jelavic also looks set to feature however Magaye Gueye will not play any further part in Everton's season, after joining Stade Brest on loan.
Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert allowed Stephen Warnock to sign for Leeds United on transfer deadline day, whilst bringing in Tottenham youngster Simon Dawkins on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Both new faces could make their debut against the Toffees, while attackers Gabriel Agbonlahor and Andreas Weimann are pushing for a starting place, after both impressed in the the 2-1 loss to Newcastle United.
Stones looking forward to life at Everton
Everton's new signing John Stones cannot wait to get stuck in at his new club after joining from Barnsley for £3 million.
The 18-year-old had been at Oakwell since he was 6, and while he will miss his local club Stones is looking forward to working with his new team-mates.
He told the club's official website: "I've left an amazing club which is very close to my heart, but I've joined an amazing club. I'm here at Everton now and looking forward to every minute of it.
"I've been impressed with Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines, Sylvain Distin - these are consistent players, very highly-rated players, international players who I've got the luck to work with now."
Stones has joined on a five-and-a-half year deal and despite injuries to Tony Hibbert and Seamus Coleman, the England Under 19 international is unlikely to be thrown straight into the team.
Manager David Moyes added: "He's someone that we are bringing in looking towards the future and not for today really."
Since making his first-team debut for the Tykes in March, Stones has become one of the hottest prospects in the Football League, having made 19 appearances already this season.
