Arsenal are set to revive their interest in David Villa this summer, according to reports.
The Daily Mail claims Arsene Wenger will go back in for the 85-cap Spanish international at the end of the season, after missing out on the player in the final stages of the January transfer window.
Villa has struggled to make a major impact under Tito Vilanova at the Nou Camp, and the same paper claimed that the Gunners were ready to make a final swoop for the former Valencia star in the last days of the month.
A move failed to materialise however, and whilst Arsenal added one Spaniard in the shape of Malaga defender Nacho Monreal, they did not strengthen their attacking line.
That leaves Olivier Giroud to lead the line for the rest of the season at the Emirates Stadium, with Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski also able to play through the middle if required.
However, the addition of Villa in the summer could be a major coup for the Gunners, and their transfer chances are likely to hinge on finishing in the Premier League's top four at the end of the season.
