Real Madrid will reportedly offer Cristiano Ronaldo the opportunity to extend his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu by another three years, with the former Manchester United star warming to the idea of committing his future to the club.

Concerns about Ronaldo's future as a Real Madrid player were raised earlier this season, and reports surfaced about a potential return to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Sir Alex Ferguson publicly stated his wish to bring Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, and the forward has frequently gone on record to state his love for the club and admiration for his former Manchester United manager.

Ronaldo has since, however, maintained that he will honour his current contract with Real Madrid, and Punto Pelota now reports the 27-year-old will be offered an extension to his deal.

The Portugal captain is tied to Real Madrid until 2015, but could stay with Los Blancos for three additional years should he agree to the proposal set to be tabled by the club.

Punto Pelota also claims that Ronaldo's dressing room fears have been eased of late as his relationships with other prominent members of the Real Madrid squad gradually improve.
