Brazil star: Neymar & Lionel Messi would work beautifully together
Lionel Messi, Ronaldinho and Neymar news: Messi & Neymar would be a 'very beautiful' partnership at Barcelona
Ronaldinho believes his Brazilian teammate Neymar would form a 'very beautiful' partnership with Leo Messi should he move from Santos to Barcelona, according to The Sun.
The 32-year-old playmaker was speaking before Brazil play England in a friendly at Wembley on Wednesday, and the former-Barcelona star thinks his current international compatriot could forge a potent strike-partnership with current Nou Camp darling Messi.
The Argentinean international scooped the FIFA Ballon d'Or award last month - Neymar finished 13th in voting for the title - and Ronaldinho believes the Barcelona number 10 could work as the perfect foil for Neymar.
Ronaldinho said: "I was happy for Messi, who is a great friend, and is deserving of everything that is happening to him. I imagine that the two can play together because they are among the best in the world.
"It would be very beautiful to see them together."
Neymar is one of the most coveted players in world football, and Barcelona are believed to be eager to bring him to La Liga following the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The 21-year-old celebrates his birthday today, before facing England for the first time in his career tomorrow.
His flicks and tricks have led some to compare him to Ronaldinho - and the comparisons would gain further momentum should the young forward follow his career path to Barcelona.
The Atletico Mineiro star enjoyed five hugely successful years in Catalonia, winning two La Liga titles and a Champions League in 2006.
He briefly played alongside Messi at the Nou Camp under Frank Rijkaard, before moving on to AC Milan in the summer of 2008.
