Rooney relishing clash against Ronaldinho & Neymar

England striker Wayne Rooney is relishing the prospect of coming up against Ronaldinho and Neymar in tonight’s international friendly at Wembley.

Brazil travel to the capital as part of the Football Association’s 150th anniversary celebrations, and it promises to be a special show with some of the samba stars expected to be on show.

Rooney certainly expects it to be a great match, and has huge respect for both players. The Manchester United star even suggests Neymar could go on to become one of the greats.

“Can’t wait for tonight’s game. Excited to hopefully come up against Ronaldinho, who’s a player I’ve always admired and has achieved everything in the game,” he wrote on his official Facebook page

“And then there’s Neymar, who has the potential to be one of the world’s best!’

The Santos starlet has also talked up the former Everton forward, but paid a back-handed compliment at the same time when claiming that the Three Lions were a ‘one man team’ who relied on Rooney too much.

“England have players to do well — but do I think they have the same quality as Spain and Argentina? No,” he's quoted as saying by the English press.

“Maybe they rely too much on Rooney — once you look past him you don’t see an obvious player who can win them a match. But Brazil have got many players who can.”
