Luis Suarez would love Iniesta at Liverpool

Liverpool star Luis Suarez has revealed he would love Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta to join him at Anfield.

The Merseyside top scorer was asked on Spanish radio which Spain player he would want as a teammate at Liverpool when he revealed his praise for Iniesta.

The topic was raised because Suarez turned out for Uruguay in an international friendly with the World and European champions on Wednesday.

“Iniesta, I have no doubt about that," was his response to the question of his desired teammates if he had to choose form Spain.

"For the quality of player he is. I am an admirer of his and of good football."

The quality Suarez was talking about was evident in Spain’s 3-1 victory in the friendly, which was hosted in Qatar on Wednesday evening.

Most Liverpool fans would probably not mind Iniesta turning out for the Reds and he would bring an extra creative edge that Brendan Rodgers’ team are currently lacking somewhat.

Despite this, Suarez has been on fire in the Premier League, bagging 17 goals in just 24 appearances as a staggering start to the season has been slowly improving.

Liverpool are currently sitting seventh in the Premier League and are nine points off the top four places.
