Real Madrid transfer plans to threaten Premier League clubs

Published 65 Comments

Real Madrid are preparing to go on a £100million spending spree that could ruin the summer plans of Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

According to the Sunday People, the Santiago Bernabeu outfit are set to splash out on David Silva, Edinson Cavani and Gareth Bale.

Silva is Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini’s most prominent playmaker and it would be a severe blow to lose him.

Etihad Stadium officials were also linked with a summer bid for Napoli star Cavani, with fellow Premier League side Arsenal also credited with an interest in the Uruguayan.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger reportedly wants another striker in his squad to provide competition for Frenchman Olivier Giroud.

Meanwhile, Andre Villas-Boas is desperate not to lose Gareth Bale in the summer but, such is his form, it looks as though a sizeable offer from one of Europe’s biggest sides is inevitable.

Bale has been in devastating form recently; he scored both goals in the 2-1 win over Newcastle United on Saturday.
