Bryan Prunty may not be a name familiar outside of Scotland, but the Dumbarton striker has achieved relative fame after scoring a quite stunning overhead kick in the weekend defeat of Livingston.

With only four minutes gone of the Scottish First Division clash at the Almondvale Stadium, Prunty controlled a cross on his chest before leaping majestically into the air and firing into the top corner in acrobatic fashion.

It was a breathtaking finish from the 29-year-old former Celtic trainee, and conjured up thoughts of memorable goals of a similar style from Brazilian trio Ronaldinho, Rivaldo and, of course, Pele.

Prunty also reminded us of Wayne Rooney's spectacular strike in the Manchester derby a few seasons of ago, and the Manchester United star's goal can be seen here.

Watch Bryan Prunty's effort above and see how it compares to other great overhead kicks, and let us know what your favourite is.
