Video: Fernando Torres cooks up a storm in cupcake TV advert

Published 19 Comments

Spanish striker Fernando Torres has been tasked by Chelsea's primary sponsor, Samsung, to help them sell kitchen equipment in Thailand.

The 28-year-old is fronting a brand new commercial for the electrical manufacturer, in which he shows off his football skills as well as his baking abilities.

Torres features in the light-hearted advert, playing up to the camera with a variety of flicks and tricks, before rolling his sleeves up and turning his attention to cupcake-making.

Critics of the Stamford Bridge star might suggest that he needs to focus all his attention to on-pitch matters, having found the net just once in his last 12 Chelsea appearances.

That's done little to prevent the former Atletico Madrid centre-forward from cooking up a storm in his pinny and Chelsea kit, though.

However, the real cherry on Torres's cake would be to score against Sparta Prague when Rafa Benitez's men return to Europa League action later this week.
