Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has told future team-mate Wilfried Zaha he will still have to pay for the club's own subscription channel, 'MUTV', despite agreeing a deal to move to Old Trafford in the summer.

The England international broke the news to the January signing - who will stay at Crystal Palace for the remainder of the season - via Twitter, when originally responding to a question from a fan.

The Red Devils supporter pondered whether Rooney and Co. still had to pay the £6.00 monthly fee to get their daily fix of Manchester United news, and didn't have to wait long for an answer, as the 27-year-old responded by saying: "Yeah I do".

Rooney then wasted little time in letting Zaha know that he too will have to devote a tiny percentage of his new wage with Sir Alex Ferguson's side, tweeting the Championship winger: "u will have to aswell mate haha."

Zaha retweeted Rooney's comment, adding: "thought we'd get that free to be honest lol", suggesting that he is already a paying subscriber to the Manchester United channel, in an attempt to swat up on his new club, ahead of the 20-year-old's summer transfer.
