Four-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi has claimed he is the lucky one to be playing alongside Barcelona teammate Andres Iniesta.

Messi has been in scintillating form for the Camp Nou over the past two seasons and has lead to him winning the record fourth gong, as well as great amount of people claiming him to be the best ever.

However, Messi has not let it get to his head and even spoke about the joy he gets from watching and playing alongside Iniesta.

Iniesta won the inaugural UEFA Best Player in Europe award last year following Spain’s record-breaking triumph at Euro 2012.

Messi believes the Barcelona player is even getting better as the years go by and admits he is still amazed by what he sees every day in training.

“Andres does everything well. He's getting better and better as the years go by: he's won it all and I'm extremely lucky to play alongside him," Messi is quoted as saying by Goal.com.

"I enjoy watching what he does on the pitch, whether in matches or in training sessions –he's a joy to behold."

Iniesta is likely to say something similar about the Argentinean after his 91 goals in 2012 and already making it to 50 strikes this season.

Barcelona are currently 12 points clear at the top of La Liga and look certain to reclaim their crown from rivals Real Madrid.
